This hose holder looks exactly as I wanted it to be - simple but sturdy and well made. Great look and seems to be of a good quality. Let's see how it stands through a couple seasons.The only challenge I encountered was with provided plastic anchors. I didn't want to drill into bricks and decided to go with the mortar joint between bricks instead. This allows me to remove this holder with minor mortar patching if I want it in a future. However, provided hardware had the same exact issue as most items made in China - it's metric. For a person living in North America having an 8 mm plastic anchor means that I either need to look for a metric 7 mm drill bit, which I absolutely didn't want to do since I will have no use of it whatsoever in the future, or go with 5/16 masonry bit which is around 7.9mm. I first drilled with 1/8, then 1/4 and finally 5/16 masonry drill bits to ensure I properly center the holes into the mortar joint. I had no issues with that but in the end provided plastic anchor was fitting tight but not solid enough. I couldn't pull the holder but with enough force applied I felt that it's simply not sitting in the wall as well as I like it. So I had to go to the almighty Home Depot and get a six-pack of DuoPower #8-12 anchors which worked PERFECTLY with provided stainless steel screws and holes made with 5/16 drill bit. Still giving this holder 5 stars since I like the look and how it works but once again - China manufacturers need to start using Imperial hardware when selling their items in North America. I added the picture of anchors I used next to the one which came with this holder.
