Wow I didn't know I needed this, but it's changed my life. For those of you like me, who shave your legs in the bathroom (not in the tub) this is a life changer.I can easily shave my legs and lift them up so that I'm not falling over or slipping. It also makes it a lot easier to get those weird hard to reach spots like the back of your thigh.My husband screwed this into the wall into a stud, and it easily can hold up the weight of my leg (Just be aware the screw holes are spaced out far so you'll only be able to get one screw into a stud).It looked nice and it works well, and I like that I can push it back up until the wall and it's not just in the way. I never knew this even existed and now I can't live without it

This item is intended to be mounted inside a shower or bathtub wall. It is intended to be used to put your foot on it when it is extended in order to shave your leg, for instance. It is quite sturdy and very heavy-duty. You secure it to the wall by drilling three holes for the mounting plate to be anchored to the wall. You then attach the footrest to the mounting plate. It can be folded up when not being used to keep it out of the way.This works as intended and is very secure. It folds up nicely, and it has a very nice, thick teak wood footrest. If you are looking for a footrest in order to shave your legs or paint your toenails, or anything to do with taking care of your feet, this footrest will fit the bill.-I need to clarify my review. Initially, I was not able to attach the footrest to the mounting plate so I contacted the seller for support. Come to find out, I was sent a footrest that was not supposed to go out. It is supposed to come with the footrest already attached to the mounting plate. They sent me a correct one, and I could see why I could not succeed at attaching the footrest. They spot weld it on. That is why my first one would not hold together. I could not spot weld it in place.They were great with their support and the extremely fast replacement. I could not ask for better support.
